The Cunderdin Toy Library is a non-profit organisation, run by volunteers under the guidance of the Cunderdin and Districts Telecentre.  All proceeds from fees go back into the running and expansion of the Toy Library.

The Library has hundreds of toys available for loan such as:

A large play gym;

Sporting equipment;

Ride on tractors and bikes;

Puzzles;

learning resources;

costumes;

infant toys; and many more!

Many members find joining the toy library enables them to test out a toy (particularly large and expensive toys) before buying something similar.  There are hundreds of toys available for loan, and we are always looking for suggestions for new toys, so please let us know if there is a toy you would like to see available at the Library.

HISTORY

The Toy Library began in November 2001, when the Telecentre received a grant or $3000 from Lotterywest.  Since then we have received donations from Rotary, Lions, Jaycettes, Youth Council and Bulgin Bush Races.  We received another grant from Lotterywest in February 2005.  The Toy Library was relocated to the Town Hall in November 2007 because it had outgrown its small room at the Telecentre.

VOLUNTEER’S ROSTER

Volunteer members are requested to do their turn on the roster in return for cheaper rates compared to Non-Volunteer members and groups.  If you are unable to do your turn on the roster please arrange to swap with another parent.  The roster is posted on the door of the Telecentre, in the Bandicoot or via email/fax at the end of each school term.  Parents are also asked to help with fund-raising and busy bees.

BECOMING A MEMBER

If you would like to join the library, please complete a Membership Form (available at the Telecentre) and pay the appropriate fee to the Telecentre staff. Cheques should be made payable to the Cunderdin and Districts Toy Library.  This can be done whenever the Telecentre is open.
