Local Law Review & Amendments
The Shire of Cunderdin has recently made an amendment to its Local Law relating to Dogs, and proposes to review several other Local Laws to determine if they should be retained, amended or repealed.
The Shire of Cunderdin is proposing to review the following local laws:
- Cemeteries - Control and Management of Cunderdin and Meckering
- Pest Plants
- Health Local Laws 1997
- Thoroughfares: Activities on and Trading in Public Places
- Standing Orders
- Local Government Property
- Dogs Local Law 2008 & Dogs Local Law Amendment 2009

Dogs Amendment Local Law 2009
The purpose of the amendment local law is to make provision in relation to section 8 of the Act and section 88J of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 in relation to areas where dogs are prohibited from entering.
