Breast Screen Van in Cunderdin
The Health Departments mobile van will be located at the Cunderdin District Hospital (Main Entrance Carpark), Cubbine Street from Thursday the 2nd of July 2009 to Wednesday the 8th of July 2009.
Routine screening mammograms every two years for women aged 50 to 69 can significantly increase the chance of a woman surving breast cancer and reduce the amount of treatment required. Current medical evidence shows that screening is most effective for this age group. More than 70% of breast cancers occur in women over the age of 50.
